After the success of the 2016's edition, the Festival starts promoting four days of events, screenings, meetings and masterclasses around cinema and its ability to narrate and depict reality. Carbonia Film Festival presenta “How to Film the World” represents a further step in a festival deeply rooted in our contemporary era, both in its focus on the topics of work and migrations and in its attention for the newest cinematographic forms of fiction and documentaries. During the event, international directors among the most significative in contemporary cinema come to the Sulcis region to meet the public for open meetings and talks.
Film students and scholars, young filmmakers, critics and professionals under 30 years old are invited to apply through the bando Programma Cinema Giovani. A group of them is selected to participate to the event as guests of the Festival, having the chance to take part in the special initiatives created for them in collaboration with the directors.
